You may sit the entrance exam and participate in the tutorial programme as many times as you like while you are enrolled in a NZ secondary school. You may only attend the NZIBO practical training camp twice.
Yes – in the entrance exam and tutorial programme so long as you are enrolled in a NZ secondary school. To attend the NZIBO practical training camp you must be a NZ permanent resident or citizen.
Yes! You still need to register by the deadline if you wish to do NZIBO again. Anyone who has participated in the tutorial programme previously does not have to sit the National Entrance Exam and will receive direct entry to the tutorial programme once they have registered.

You will need a teacher to supervise the National entrance exam and camp selection exam. Try asking your biology teacher or teacher in charge of biology/science and reach out to registration@nzibo.org if this is an issue.
Yes – there are subsidies or scholarships available at all stages of the programme. Please reach out to registration@nzibo.org. We do not want any student to miss out on the opportunity to participate in NZIBO due to financial constraints!
You must be enrolled full time in a NZ secondary school to participate in NZIBO. NZ secondary school students will typically meet the IBO competition requirement to be “born on or after 1st July of the IBO year minus 20”. I.e. you must be no older than 20 years and 0 days as at 1st July of the IBO year.

If selected for the tutorial programme you have the power to guide your own learning. You are able to pick and choose the modules you find interesting and helpful, and work at your own pace. The tutorial programme is valuable beyond training for the camp selection exam and IBO – it will help you with school exams and provide a head start for university. It is a substantial commitment to complete fully before the camp selection exam – 5-8 hours of study per week – if this is your goal.
